• Download the 4 linux files and save them somewhere that you can remember, preferably your home folder.
    Untar all 4 files:
    tar -zxvf MIVA20BC83Linux_042005a.tar.gz
    tar -zxvf MIVA20BC83Linux_042005c.tar.gz
    tar -zxvf MIVA20BC83Linux_042005d.tar.gz
    tar -zxvf CWB-examples.tar.gz
     

  • Create a Launcher on Desktop for MIVA:
    Right-click on desktop
    Select New Launcher
    Name: MIVA
    Command:     MIVA/miva
    Icon:     MIVA/Miva20bc83/bcode/res/MIVA_Icon.ico
     

  • Get a license key (cwb.ecl) from http://ccni.wpi.edu
    Delete cwb.ecl file in     MIVA/Miva20bc83/bcode folder if it exists
    Put the license key that you just downloaded under the main directory:     MIVA/Miva20bc83/bcode
     

  • Launch MIVA by clicking the Icon.
    You can also run MIVA using following command in a shell:
    >> cd MIVA/Miva20bc83/
    >> ./miva

    To run SPM, you need MATLAB 5.2 or higher.
